Money is a very sensitive subject and talk of it makes many super uncomfortable.

It invokes a lot of intense emotions and conflict when brought up, and can go a long way to place a period amongst friendships and relationships.

Yes, it can be a seed of discord without any warning whatsoever.

The money taboo, some have called it. But why does it exist? Why do people generally shy away from talking about money?

I wanted to make conversations about money fun, at least amongst family and friends, so I decided to go digging deep.

For first step, I asked couple of friends why they found it difficult to talk about money, especially income, with other friends or colleagues and here’s what I found, they really had no idea; it just seemed uncomfortable.

For second step, I wrote this article. So the question remains:

Do you discuss your salary with your colleagues or friends? If not, why is that? Let me know in the comments.

I am writing 50 short form articles in January, this is article #2.
