NFTs Are Very Stupid

NFTs can be very stupid!

Think about for a minute, right, why would I or anyone else for that matter want to buy any of these little PNGs and JPEGs of monkeys and gorillas and apes and tweets for literally hundreds and thousands of dollars when one in a few simple clicks, can just download them?

I know someone reading this is going to say something like this illegal or you don’t still don’t own it.

On a more serious note though, I still think NFTs can be stupid, and they do more harm than good.

I’m going to tell you why in a bit.

Ok, so what happens is anyone who buys any of these images actually buys a token of the image and as such does not really own the image itself but the token.

You can keep track of who owns the tokens because they are stored on the blockchain.

In case you don’t know already, the blockchain is basically a database with a list of transactions. And these transactions are spread out across many computers, which makes it hard if not impossible to go in and change them.
