From Zero to -$500: How I Lost $500 Dropshipping

I always had an idea of what dropshipping was about. I heard of the many people living the good life as a result of engaging in dropshipping activities. I saw ads on Instagram, and I knew there was definitely something about dropshipping that made it ring and gave it an audience. But the moment I decided to give it my full attention, I saw it as the holy grail to financial liberation. There was money on the internet and I could also have a piece of this pie. Little did I know that I was in for one hell of a ride.

For those who may not know what dropshipping is, it’s a model of business where you have customers place orders for products from your custom built store, you in turn order those same items from a supplier of choice at a lower cost, and the supplier sends out the items to your customer. You keep the excess and profits of that transaction as your income and chill. Through out this process, you never get to physically see the product. Unless obviously, you order them for yourselves to have a feel of what you are selling. Thus, no inventory, little to no capital required, and less time to maintain. Finally, I could live the life I dreamed of.
