5 Tips to Wakeup Early Everyday

There are so many great benefits to starting your day by waking up early.

This is a sequel to my previous article on Why You Should Wakeup at 4am Everyday. You should check it out if you haven’t already.

So, in this article, I’ll be providing you with tips to waking up early as I really do believe there’s power to an early day start.

  1. Sleep early — Early to bed, early to rise. Set an early bedtime and do well to stick to the schedule. It will be difficult to rise up early when you do sleep late.
  2. Have a strong why — It’s easy to achieve anything if there is a strong why backing it. Your WHY will be your drive.
  3. Plan Your Morning — It’s easier to execute when you have a plan. And if you didn’t know, the next day actually starts the night before. So be clear what you want to get out of your early rise and execute when you do.
  4. Put your alarm clock far from your bed — This is an old school strategy but if you do have regular alarm clocks, this will help. Personally, I use a Google Home but I’ve finally disciplined myself enough to not say ‘STOP’ when the alarm goes off.
  5. Gamify Waking Up Early — Make this new habit pleasurable. Doing this will make you look forward to it. Allow yourself to do something pleasurable as reward.
